I also use Firebug and agree it's a great extension. It would seem firefox would let you get away with some mistakes that IE was not forgiving. I was making a site last week. It took me one day to do the HTML and CSS for the homepage and then a whole 3 days to get it to work properly in IE6,7 and 8.
