Interesting to see this, thanks. I wouldn’t even have thought of this – hotel booking really isn’t “classic” ecommerce in many ways. Curious to know how much customization went into it.

Thanks for the info. I’ve never worked with Magento but I know the incredible possibilities of this software. I did not know that could be used as a booking engine and is a great opportunity.

There are a lot of very large, well known, companies migrating over to the Magento Commerce Platform. Magento does have CMS functionality similar to Drupal and Joomla, but it’s first and foremost an e-commerce app, and that is what it does best. If you’re looking for a dedicated/hardcore CMS then you will most likely want to stick with Joomla/Drupal, as that’s what they’ve been designed to do.
