Thanks for the info. I've never worked with Magento but I know the incredible possibilities of this software. I did not know that could be used as a booking engine and is a great opportunity.

There are a lot of very large, well known, companies migrating over to the Magento Commerce Platform. The Magento Community Edition is already feature packed, but if there are large companies wanting features, my hope is that the features will be integrated in to the Enterprise version first and then filter down to the Community version shortly after.

Wow! That is Amazing! The amount of time spent customizing that thing must have been off the charts. Gonna have to share this one around the office.

Magento does have CMS functionality similar to Drupal and Joomla, but it's first and foremost an e-commerce app, and that is what it does best. If you're looking for a dedicated/hardcore CMS then you will most likely want to stick with Joomla/Drupal, as that's what they've been designed to do.

I haven't used Magento. Any thoughts on advantages over Joomla and Drupal?

I was recently looking into Magento for some ecommerce sites and it seems to be one of if not the best OS solution. The other one that looked pretty promising was opencart. Had any experience with this one?

I really love Magento since it is very easy to setup and very professional looking. I never thought you could make it into a hotel booking site but for a webshop its perfect. Not to mention that it's free as well.
